Yard Aeration & Seeding FAQs

Do I need to do something to prepare my yard, or do you take care of everything?

It helps if the lawn is mowed shorter than normal prior to aeration and seeding. This allows for better seed to soil contact and allows you to wait 2-3 weeks before then next mow. That way you can irrigate daily to get the best germination.

Do I need to wait a certain amount of time to play in my yard or mow?

With daily irrigation after seeding, stay off the lawn as much as possible for 2-3 weeks.

If I aerate my yard myself, can you take care of just the reseeding portion?

In some cases, depending on our schedule. Our aerators are the best in the industry and we recommend you allow us to provide this service to ensure it is done thoroughly and correctly.

Should I aerate and overseed in the spring or fall?

In the world of lawn care, there's a popular but misleading belief that reseeding your lawn in the spring is the best way to achieve a lush, healthy lawn. You may be strolling through Home Depot or Lowes during the spring, see bags after bags of seed and think: “Should I be aerating and overseeding my lawn this spring?”
