Outdoor evenings,given back.

Middle Tennessee gets mosquito season for seven months. Pure Turf's barrier program puts the yard back in play, from porches and patios to playsets and walk paths, April through October.

21-day cadence · EPA-registered · TDA licensed

Seven months of mosquito season here. We hand the evenings back.

From April through October, the barrier program puts the yard back in play, from porches to playsets. Treated on a steady cycle, your evenings stay yours.

What we treat

Three targets,one barrier.

01
Mosquito
The Asian tiger and the southern house, both day-biters, both established in Middle Tennessee since the early 2000s. We hit the harborage they live in: shaded grass, leaf litter, the underside of decks.
Field note
Bites within 200 ft of where they hatch.
02
Tick
Lone star, deer, blacklegged. Tennessee is high-prevalence for tick-borne disease and the season runs longer here than in any state north. Perimeter barrier treatments aim at brush lines, fence edges, and yard transitions.
Field note
Most bites happen within 10 ft of the lawn edge.
03
Flea
Where pets and wildlife share a yard. Treatment timing matters more than treatment volume. Our season schedule hits the egg-to-adult window so populations don't reset between visits.
Field note
One untreated season can mean 12 generations.
The season

Each month,March to October.

Mar
Season open
First visit of the year, before the overwintering generation wakes. We catch them on the first warm days, at the season's lowest point, so nothing breeds forward.
Apr
Catch the first hatch
First treatment of the active season as the ground warms and emergence begins. Knocks the early generation down before the warm-rain cycle lets it compound.
May
Establish barrier
Foliar treatment across harborage zones: shaded turf, mulch beds, deck undersides. Tick perimeter on fence and brush lines.
Jun
Mid-spring sweep
Standing-water inspection. We point out anything we can't treat (clogged gutters, French drains) so you can clear it.
Jul
Peak season
Tightest interval of the year. Visits land every 21 days through July to suppress the largest generations.
Aug
Hold the line
Heat plus humidity plus rain equals fastest generation cycles of the year. Same 21-day cadence, with attention to shaded re-emergence.
Sep
Fall pivot
Tick pressure spikes again as adults look for hosts before winter. We adjust perimeter weighting.
Oct
Season close
Final treatment after first cool stretch. Holds the line until temps drop below the activity threshold.

How long does each treatment last?

Roughly 21 days under normal conditions. Heavy rain, a yard that drains poorly, or a long dry stretch can compress that window. Our cadence is built around 21 days through peak season for that reason.

Is the treatment safe for pets and kids?

Once the application has dried (typically 30 minutes), the treated area is safe for normal use. Every product we apply is EPA-registered, applied by TN Department of Agriculture-licensed technicians, and logged on the same-day report.

Will this kill pollinators?

Our application protocols include pollinator-aware timing and treatment avoidance of blooming plants where possible. We won't claim zero impact (no honest applicator can), but we do everything we can to minimize it.

Do I have to sign anything long-term?

No. We bill per visit. If you want to try one month, try one month. Most clients book the full season once they see how the first treatment changes the yard.

What if it rains right after a treatment?

If significant rainfall hits within four hours of an application, we'll come back and re-treat at no charge. After four hours, the active ingredient has bonded to vegetation and rain has minimal impact.

Does this also help with ticks?

Yes. The same perimeter treatment that suppresses mosquitos targets tick harborage along brush lines, fence edges, and yard transitions. For properties bordering woods, we shift the weighting to tick zones.
