This year, Middle Tennessee saw record levels of lawn disease pressure, and it became clear that our Basic Program isn’t delivering the level of protection your lawn deserves. Over the past six weeks, we’ve also listened closely to your feedback, and many of you have told us the Basic Program simply didn’t meet expectations. Too much disease and too many weeds.

Why is Pure Turf upgrading me from the Basic Program to the Essential Program?

This summer, Middle Tennessee experienced record levels of lawn disease pressure, and many customers told us the Basic Program wasn’t meeting expectations. Too much disease and too many weeds made it clear we needed to do more. The Essential Program provides stronger results, better protection, and the long-term care your lawn deserves.

What’s different about the Essential Program?

The Essential Program includes:

Complete Disease Protection with fungicide treatments to keep brown patch and other diseases from thinning your lawn.

Strong Pest Defense with an insect treatment to protect against turf-damaging pests like armyworms.

More Total Care with 11 applications per year (instead of 7) so your lawn gets exactly what it needs at the right time.

Does the upgrade cost more?

Per treatment, the Essential Program actually costs less than your current Basic visits. Because there are more applications per year, the total annual investment is higher, but you’ll receive greater protection, steadier results, and guaranteed pricing through 2026.

Do I need to do anything to switch?

No. The upgrade will happen automatically. If you’d prefer to stay on the Basic Program and were satisfied with your results this summer, just reply to the email we sent you and let us know.

When does the change take effect?

Your upgrade begins immediately with your final two visits of 2025. Then, in 2026, the Essential Program will become the standard for all new Pure Turf customers.

Why is disease and insect protection so important in Tennessee?

Fescue lawns in Middle Tennessee face intense summer disease pressure and recurring pest threats. Without fungicides and insect treatments, lawns are more likely to thin out, get patchy, and allow weeds to spread. These extra steps are critical to keeping your lawn healthy, thick, and green in our climate.

What if I was happy with the Basic Program and don’t want to switch?

That’s completely fine — just reply to the email we sent you and let us know. Otherwise, your program will automatically upgrade to Essential to ensure the best care for your lawn.

Will my results really be that much better?

Yes. A healthier lawn comes from consistent protection. Fungicide prevents disease, insect control stops turf damage, and more total care visits keep your lawn fed and weed-free year-round. The Essential Program is designed to deliver the lawn you can be proud of.
